The ship’s radio is silent, as are the voices of the passengers. Irene and Apostle, who started their life’s journey, are now fighting to save it. The battle with the asymmetric enemy is great and unequal. Who will be saved? Who will be lost?

Artemis, three days after her grandmother’s death, discovers some faded newspapers from another era. In the foreground is the wreck of “Heraklion”. The woman facing in the circled photo reminds her of her grandmother. Same name, same person, but different last name. Unbeknownst to her, she holds a skein of thorny threads, which, as it unfolds, its thorns sink deep into her heart.
