For the thousands of nomes who live under the boards of a large supermarket there is no Outside. Concepts such as Day and Night, Sun and Rain are, quite simply, outcomes of a god-crazy imagination.
And suddenly, shocking news comes to shake the calm waters of their existence: the Store -their whole world- is about to be demolished. And the lot falls on Arrenax -one of the nomes who recently came to the Store- to organize and methodize an incredible escape operation, which will bring all the nomes face to face with the dangers of the unknown Great Outside …
